Bad Teens

A common word used to describe teens struggling with behavioral issues is “bad”. Acquaintances of struggling teens or parents will call them a bad teen, or sometimes even a bad person. Though common, most individuals fail to see the harm this description can have on “bad teens.” Liahona Academy can provide helpful tips and information to parents with struggling teenagers. Call us today at 1-855-587-1416 to speak with professionals.

Some of the most hurtful and harmful things that can assist in the dwindling chances of positive change in troubled teens are the words we use to them and about them. Teens with poor behavior Bad Teensissues are not bad people, but more often then not their decisions can be described as “bad”. The poor choices in words used by those surrounding your troubled teen can be demeaning and often taken literal. They can sometimes even be used as an excuse for teens to continue making poor decisions. Teens can think, “Well I’m a ‘bad teen’. Bad teens make these kind of decisions”. As friends and family of a struggling teenager, it is crucial to choose our words carefully in order to give them more positive feelings when it comes to their poor behaviors.

Liahona Academy Can Help “Bad Teens” Improve Their Decision Making

The reasoning for categorizing a teen as “bad” is usually resulted from the poor or “bad” decisions they are currently making. Poor behaviors can develop from personal issues in teens such as emotional issues, drug and substance abuse and addiction, family or adoption issues, etc. Liahona Academy is a residential treatment center that helps to correct issues, like the ones listed above, and to assist troubled teens in making more positive decisions. The therapeutic programs we provide will help us to locate the underlying issue in teens that is causing them the need to result to poor behaviors.

At Liahona Academy, we have also developed a great academic recovery program that will assist your “bad teen” in getting back on track in their schooling. Usually, the result of poor behaviors in teens is a lack of performance academically. Credits can be lost and your teen can fall behind in school. We allow teens to pace themselves to produce greater results on furthering their education.
