Drug & Alcohol Use Destroys Lives - Troubled Boys

The main reason troubled boys use and abuse drugs and alcohol is to cope or solve underlying issues. Often adolescents are being pressured to participate in drug use, by people, media, or their own curiosity. Liahona Academy provides troubled boys with social skills, strength, and confidence they are in need of to reject negative influences.

Adolescents who have been affected by drug used will find staying clean even harder. Consequences are not being thought about when teen boys are using drugs. Adolescents using drugs in their teen years are at greater risk of having serious drug abuse and addiction later as adults.

There are common reasons why teens use drugs:

  • Easy Access
  • People
  • Popular Media
  • Misinformation (not knowing the effects of drugs.)
  • Boredom
  • Rebellion
  • Escape or Self-Medication
  • Instant Gratification
  • Lack of Confidence

Residential treatment centers provide rehabilitation and therapeutic treatment for adolescents that struggle with addictions and other issues. Liahona Academy supports  and encourages adolescents to make changes for themselves, we help give them the little push they need to decide to change themselves. If your adolescent is using drugs and they need help, call us at 1-855-587-1416
