The Liahona Academy Approach

All of the teens who enter the doors of Liahona Academy are suffering from different issues, but what most of them have in common is that they lack communication skills and healthy relationships with their parents. Having proper skills in this area contribute to better relations between them, their parents and other family members. Not only this, but it ensures that they are able to express themselves in appropriate and healthy ways. Having open and trusting relationships between teens and their families is largely what makes them have continued success when they return home, which is why Liahona Academy places such a large emphasis on making this happen. One of the ways we do this is through “family therapy” where parents, students, and their therapists take part in weekly phone sessions. On top of this, we strongly encourage regular visits and phone calls. Many other treatment facilities prohibit contact with family for some or all of the duration, but we believe this is the wrong approach, because it can create more distance and put a further strain on the relationships. This is part of what truly sets Liahona apart from other programs.

Getting Assistance Today

If the approach Liahona Academy takes toward reforming troubled boys sounds like it could work for your son, please don’t hesitate to get him the help he needs. If you have any questions, please call us today at 1-855-587-1416.
